They will play a final game at a professional club training ground in front of Premier League scouts. Round 4: 15 players: The final 15 players will be selected to represent Playr Academy. Players will use the PLAYR system away from the sessions and the players who show the most improvement in their Power Plays and Top Speed will be selected for Round 4. They will attend 3 training sessions with Tony Strudwick and the PLAYR Academy Coaching team. Round 3: 30 players: Each of the 30 players who make it through to Round 3 will be loaned a PLAYR tracking system. Round 2: 80 players: Players selected based on data taken from the PLAYR Smart Coach App, will play a number of 8 aside games in front of PLAYR Academy Coaches. The PLAYR tracking system will measure the data, and the top 80 players with the highest scores, will go through to the next round of trials. Round 1: 600 places available: Players will take a series of tests created by the PLAYR Academy to test their technique, speed, power, turning ability and endurance levels. Selected players will work with Tony Strudwick (Ex-Head of Performance at Manchester United) for 3 training sessions, then a final group of players will play a showcase game representing PLAYR Academy at a top PL club training ground in front of Premier League Scouts.ĭate: 27th January 2019 3rd February 2019 The PLAYR Academy Trials will search for the next unsigned U15 and U16 player.
